Thanks for all the hard work you have done with the site. Its one of the best resources I know of to play card games and the tutorials are awesome. Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday, and thanks for the updates with the victory images. It's fun to see the probabilities and great that you're acknowledging the artists.
This is my go-to place every morning with my coffee. Happy 9th birthday!
Yes indeed, Happy 9th birthday and well done Robert. I really enjoy playing your games. Thank you so much.
Happy birthday! WOS is my favourite place to relax. Cheers and best wishes!
Happy Birthday! I love World Of Solitaire! I can't imagine what I would do with my free time without it! Thank you so much for creating it and keep up the good work. If you ever have a chance, can you create a place where we can state our comments on the individual games; i.e, "good", "Very good", "bad", "really bad", etc.? Thanks!
Happy birthday! thanks for the game: it´s important to me to relax :)
Happy Birthday! I play every day... not sure what I would do without WOS!
Happy Birthday! I may not play every day but WOS is one of my favorites
May this continue under your guidance for another 9 or 19 years! Congratulations.
Your efforts are appreciated. I play at least 4 times a week. Congratulations on the sites July 17th Anniversary ... it shares the date with Disneyland!
Really Like both the format and the options menu.
Job Well Done!
Thank You!
Congrats and Happy Birthday. Love your site
I love your site too, it's SO easy and enjoyable, you don't have to guess where the start is and there are CHOICES! Thanks for a great game site. Congrats and Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, WoS. Thank you so much, Robert for making and maintaining this site. I have many hours of enjoyment from the solitaire games here, many thanks. Kate
Robert, love this site! Happy Birthday !!
I've enjoyed this for 7 of the 9 years, hope to continue to do so.
Happy Birthday to World of Solitaire. I so enjoy all the little changes that appear. Great site!
Happy Birthday WOS! Robert, thank you for maintaining this site for all of us who have discovered this internet treasure!
Hear hear to all the above! Happy birthday and many thanks Robert.
Happy birthday, WOS, and thank you, Robert, for creating such a great site and making it better all the time.
Thank you ALL VERY MUCH for your wonderful birthday wishes! I'm glad you all enjoy the web site :)
Happy (belated) Birthday1 Many thanks for a really great game. I do like the addition of the victory images, and prior to the update I think I'd seen almost all of them. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to remember from day to day, and each day I begin again with a bare slate. Just wondering if that's what is intended..
Thanks again!
annie
@Anonymous annie:
It is supposed to remember your seen victory images. If you are a registered user, and you ensure you are logged in when you play, it should remember them forever.
You can click the 'Register' link at the top right. It's totally free and I never ever share your e-mail or e-mail you.
If you are not registered, then as an anonymous user remembering what victory images you have seen is tied to what is called a 'browser cookie'.
Some browsers or anti-virus software or other programs might clear these browser cookies periodically.
When that happens I am no longer able to identify you and thus you are considered a new user and thus it doesn't remember which ones you have seen.
Thank you for your wonderful site! I love playing Solitaire, it's the best!
Thanks for the site, Robert. Happy Birthday World of Solitaire! I love the imaginative icons, and I love the quiet classiness of your site.
I make my living as a freelance writer. When I need to take a break or think of my next line to write, playing your online Solitaire game helps me formulate my text. There's something about doing something apart from writing that conjures another, better way of thinking. Thanks!
I really enjoy your game but have noticed a "glitch".
On my THIRD time thru the pack an ACE pops up. If it's been in the pack,, why didn't it show up before the 3rd time thru?
@John Cooper: With the "Turn 3" version of Klondike, some cards are not accessible at first, but after playing some other cards, they may become available due to how 3 are turned over at a time. However you should have 'seen it' in early go-throughs, even if it was underneath another card or two.
Thanks for your speedy reply.
I was playing "Turn One". I believe this has happened before but I just didn't pay attention.
This is seriously cool! I have been playing almost daily for about a month...my dad used to play solitaire all the time and he died last year and I don't know what made me look for a solitaire site, but I am glad this is the one I found. :) I love all the options. I never really put any thought into a person being behind it and tonight I noticed the little clicky things in the lower right corner...and here I am! Thank you so much!
Love this game. I play while listening to podcasts.
Is there anyway to reset the challenges so it shows none played. When you first started the challenges, it seemed like they restarted every week or so.
Thanks
@Kitty Davidhizar:
The only way to reset the challenges would be to register a new account. You can use the same e-mail address, but must pick a new username.
Sorry I don't have any other way at this time to reset the challenges.
Hi Robert,
I just wanted to thank you so very much for your work!
I love all of your graphics but, and please don't take this the wrong way, as I know it's all about me, I really hate the Joker. I guess it's a clown thing and definitely not because of the clown sightings of late (I'd probably have a heart attack, lol-ish), but just because it gives me the creeps.
That doesn't mean you should do anything about it, at all.
I'd also like to add that you are very handsome!
Take care, and thanks again.
Good luck to you. :)
@mary lamb:
I am glad you like the games, but sad to hear the joker isn't something you like. You can restore the old "You Win" image by going to the Options menu at the top and selecting "Classic Victory Image". Starting with the next hand you deal, whenever you win the older 'You Win' message will appear instead of the new ones. That means you won't ever see that joker again. Unfortunately that also means you won't see the other fun images either.
Thank you so much, Robert, for creating this game. It helps keep me sane!
thanks for the relax time
laying in bed with chocolate
my cat sleeping at my feet
dogs in their beds and me with solitaire
life is good this evening
peace
thanks
robert you are one of the good guys for this game and your time with it ..
Yay, Pumpkin time again!
Thanks so much Robert. I play every day first thing in the morning (after breakfast of course) as it helps to get my brain into gear.
Thanks a lot for your great site! I play every day, and the game relieves my anxieties about world affairs. Just gets my head "in the game."
Happy Thanksgiving, Robert and fellow solitaire players.
Hi.
Thanks for making the site, I play daily.
And the turkey this morning really had me laughing out loud!
cheers,
j.
Best Free Solitaire Game on the web!
Just realized I've been playing nearly as long as the site has existed and just realized I'd never looked at your blog - thanks so much for keeping it up, and adding new graphics (those are always fun).
I love the Solitaire game. I sit for hours playing. Everything is perfect, except:::: I cannot see well use 200 size print. My only wish is; if only the cards could be a little larger, not off the page. When I play awhile, it becomes blurry my problem. Hope you can understand what I wrote. Thanks and keep us "old" people something to play with. Thanks a million.
@Eve:
There are several ways you can make the cards bigger :)
First, make sure your 'Zoom' setting is set to the default 100%
This can by done by pressing 'Control-Zero' on the keyboard (or 'Command-Zero' on the Mac) to reset it to 100%
Keeping it at 100% is actually the best setting, anything higher or lower can cause problems.
Second, make sure your browser window is as large as it can be. In many browsers you can press the 'F11' key on your keyboard to make it full screen. The larger your browser window is, the larger the cards will be.
Third, if you hide the ad it will make more space available for larger cards.
After the cards have been dealt, a 'Hide Ad' link will appear at the top right corner of the screen.
It will be in big light blue letters. You can click this link to hide the ad.
Fourth, some browsers have more 'space' available for larger cards.
I highly recommend using the web browser from Google, Chrome for the largest sized cards.
It loads all web sites super fast and plays World of Solitaire great.
You can download it here: http://google.com/chrome
Firefox is also a great web browser, provides space for large cards and is available here: http://getfirefox.com
Fifth, you may try changing to a different deck in the 'Decks' menu at the top.
While mostly sized the same, some can appear larger than others.
Lastly, it's usually best to keep the option "Best Looking Cards" turned on in the Options menu.
The option called "Largest Size Cards" can make cards look blurry and usually the other items above are better for making larger cards.
Hi Robert, What happened to the snowman at the lower corner of the screen? I miss him.
@Anonymous: Whoops! He's back!
Thank you Robert for World of Solitaire. F
How come all games do not have challenges? Doesn't seem fair!!!
@Anonymous: Each game type takes a lot of programming time to create a system that can generate challenges. So I started out with just some of the most popular games to see how many people liked the challenges before jumping in and making more for other games.
Enjoying all the updates and new features added this month; WoS just gets better and better :)
Happy Holidays, Robert and everyone!

Dear Robert - Thank you so much for creating World of Solitaire. I really enjoy playing it, and I appreciate the time and creativity required to make the games work so well and be so much fun to play!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Wonderful New Year, etc., etc., etc!
Sincerely, a fan
Today is National Card Playing Day. Enjoy!
I'm a pc DUMMY and don't have a clue how you can create something like this. I love it and play at least once a day, usually more! I will be 80 yr. old in April but it's so easy even a DUMMY can play. Thanks
I play World of Solitaire every night, sometimes for hours at a time. I love the layout and so many choices. You've done an excellent job. Thank you.
I think I have been playing since the beginning. I have memorized your web address so I can play it at anyone's house. I thank you, Robert, for sharing this with everyone!
Just found this a couple weeks ago and love it! Couldn't be better. Love all the choices!
Yay!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
Robert - keep up the good work. One day I may figger out the three card deal.
Wonderful job on the game and all the formats. Thanks for the enjoyment.
Great job Robert. Obviously you have provided great entertainment to the masses. Come here everyday.
Great, great work - so much pleasure! Thank you!
Hey there, Robert, I just wanted to thank you again for your work.
I love that you took the 'joker' down, he gave me the creeps. I do love the joker-like man who gives the thumbs up. He looks a bit like you.
I hope you are well and enjoying life.
Best regards,
Mary
Hi Robert. Thank you so much. I just found you a few days ago, and have been here everyday since. The games are great and the artwork is amazing. Really loving it.
Hi;
Just looking for a place to leave a comment- I love your solitaire, thank you!
But I have a suggestion, and forgive me if this has been discussed before. I think the pull down menus at the top left would be better suited at the bottom somewhere. I am forever pulling down the "Solitaire" or "Decks" menus because they are so close to the stack of cards I am trying to turn over. Poor mouse control on my part, perhaps. Otherwise, great execution of computerizing a timeless game. Thank you!
@Nels Johnson:
You can prevent the menu from automatically coming down.
Go up to the 'Options' menu and check 'Menu Requires Click to Activate'.
This will make it so you need to click on the menu to open it so it will prevent the problems you were describing.
