New Game! New Leaderboard!

It's been nearly 10 months since I've last added a new game to World of Solitaire, so I thought it was about time to add a new one:)

You'll notice a new game called 'Bear River' is now available on World of Solitaire.
This game was created by the Levin Family and was requested to be added personally by the authors via e-mail.

I've also added the #1 most requested feature of all time.
A 'Highest Percentage Won' leaderboard.

This is calculated based on how many games you win out of how many games you played.

Therefore if you analyze a dealt hand before making a move and decide that it's not winnable (something easily done in Pyramid for example) then you can choose to just deal again and that hand won't impact your percentage won score. But as soon as you've made a move, if you care about your percentage won score you should try your best to win that hand :)

One last thing I'll mention is that I've made some behind the scenes improvements for players using the Firefox browser. Firefox users should notice that the site loads a lot faster after you've visited it once.

I hope you are all having a lot of fun playing :)

Great to see latest additions but... any chance of also putting a Shortest Average Time to Win score on the leaderboard. I am top equal in one game in terms of games won but nowhere in terms of highest percentage of games won. This is becuase I go for speed - I would love to see where I am in those terms (I am a lot less than half of the global average for that...)

I found your site via your own comments on my blog. Great to see this sort of thing being developed and looking/playing so stylish. Great work !
Look forward to seeing future projects.

Thank you for building these games - so nice to be able to play some of the oldies I've not seen for a long time.
Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

@MarkW: I enjoy your blog and projects too, I follow closely :)

@Anonymous: Your welcome :)

You should totally make this into an adobe air app,
Im sure that all that would probably be needed is an iframe, since adobe runs webkit, I don't think canvas support would be a serious problem

Robert: I like the new leaderboard. Thanks for that.
I haven't been able to play the new game. It won't allow me to move a card to an empty space. I'm using FireFox on a MacBook Pro. Could this be the problem?

same problem. cant seem to move card to empty spot. IE 7

Its not any empty spot, you can only use the empty spots on the far right.

@KarenLee, @Anonymous:

As the other Anonymous poster said, only the spots on the far right can be filled with a card when empty.

I see. Rules don't mention that.

@KarenLee: I have on my to-do list a task to make the rules more clear about this :)

I like the new statistic but it screws up my standings because when I only needed to make part of the old leaderboard (like fewest moves to win) I'd start quitting winnable games that were too slow. Is there any way to make the new statistic count only games started since it was introduced?
